our Commitment to Sustainability
We believe that sustainability is part of responsible legal practice and long‑term value creation for our clients, our people, and our community. We aim to minimize our environmental footprint, promote a healthy and inclusive workplace, and contribute positively to Cambodia’s sustainable development.
Environmental Responsibility
We are gradually reducing the environmental impact of our day‑to‑day operations by:
- Prioritizing digital documents and e‑signatures to reduce paper use.
- Limiting unnecessary printing and using recycled or certified paper when printing is required.
- Saving energy in our office through efficient lighting, air‑conditioning practices, and equipment use.
- Encouraging responsible waste management, including reuse and recycling where possible.
As our business grows, we will continue to review and improve our environmental practices in line with international best standards for law offices.
People and Workplace
Sustainability for us also means creating a fair, safe, and supportive workplace. We are committed to:
- Treating all colleagues and clients with respect, without discrimination on gender, age, background, or beliefs.
- Continuously improving Transparency and Accountability consistent with our goals.
- Providing opportunities for learning and professional growth, especially for young Cambodian legal professionals.
- Supporting work–life balance and staff wellbeing.
Community Responsibility
Lorn & Partners seeks to use the law to support a more sustainable and just society by:
- Participating in community legal education, workshops, and seminars to help people better understand and exercise their rights.
- Supporting local community initiatives and organisations that work on housing, livelihoods, and social inclusion.
- Collaborating with community leaders and stakeholders to encourage responsible, transparent, and law‑abiding practices in local development.
Our Continous Improvement
We view sustainability as an ongoing journey. Each year, we aim to set small, practical goals—such as further reducing paper and energy use, enhancing staff training, or supporting community projects—and to transparently communicate our progress on this page.
